Class Description: Join us on Thursday 5/29 for a Pro Dance Team Style Master Class with Kristen Greto, former Brooklynettes dancer and captain, and current head coach of the NBA G-League Long Island Nets Dance Team and of the Long Island University Dance Team.

This high-energy class will have you feeling like you’re on a professional dance team! With choreography that is heavily inspired by styles you would see from dancers of the NBA, you will have a chance to work on performing movements that are strong, clean and sharp. You will learn a choreography combo that will feature elements of both hip hop and street jazz, with a focus on power and performance. Kristen will also share her insights and tips for auditioning. Class will be taught at an intermediate/advanced pace and level.

Level Description: This master class will be taught at an Intermediate/Advanced level and pace. Significant dance experience (ie, many years of rigorous training) and high degree of competence in retaining choreography and executing technical elements is recommended. If you have danced for many years and want to continue challenging yourself and training at a higher level, this class is for you. If you learn and retain choreography quickly and have a strong knowledge and ability to execute various technical elements, this class could be a good fit for you. In this level, class will have a focus on choreography. Class will be taught at a fast pace with a clear breakdown and instruction, but without detailed breakdown of individual movements. You will most likely see technical elements (such as leaps and turns) and floorwork in the choreography. Choreography will be between 45 seconds to a minute in length, with moderate to high level of complexity and moderate to fast tempos. Choreography will likely not repeat movements frequently.
