The 2026 Powerhouse Pro Prep Workshop Powered by lululemon is almost here, and we can’t wait! This will be our 7th Workshop, and we are so excited to support your audition preparation!

As dance team audition season approaches, we want you to feel as prepared as possible. It is never too late or too soon to keep working toward your dream! Preparation leads to confidence, and You + Confidence = AMAZING THINGS! You have the power, and we have the tools to help you prepare. 

This one-day workshop is designed to equip you with the knowledge and resources you need to become a well-rounded dancer and auditioner, and to put you one step closer to your dance team dreams! You will receive a multi-faceted set of tools to help you put your best foot forward during auditions. You’ll receive lots of Perks to enhance your preparation outside of the studio. And lastly, you will also have the opportunity to shop for audition costumes at an on-site audition outfit pop-up shop with Amy’s Gems. It’s a one-stop shop to get you into gear for this audition season.

Participants from our past 6 workshops had great success and have made amazing progress!

• 2019 Workshop: 5 participants earned spots on a professional dance team.

• 2020 Workshop: 4 participants made it onto a professional dance team.

• 2023 Workshops: 3 participants made it onto NBA and NLL teams; 3 made it to final rounds of NFL dance team auditions; and 1 made it to the final round of NBA team auditions.

• 2024 Workshops: 1 participant made an NFL dance team the following season, 1 made it onto an NBA dance team; 4 made it to final rounds of NFL dance team auditions, and 3 made it onto semi-pro teams.

• 2025 Workshop: 2 participants earned spots on an NHL dance team, 5 were finalists in NFL dance team auditions, 2 became semi-finalists for NFL dance teams, and 1 made it onto a semi-pro team.

This Workshop is for You if:

• You are DEFINITELY auditioning for a professional or collegiate dance/cheer team and want to be as prepared as possible.

• You are CONSIDERING auditioning for a professional or collegiate dance/team and want to learn more about the process and what to expect.

What to Expect

You’ll start the day with check-in and a surprise gift from our Partner, lululemon! Then you’ll dive into a day of dance with your Pros, as well as a discussion panel and Q&A with Special Guests, a mock audition, a virtual coaching seminar, lunch included, an on-site audition outfit shop, and a slew of participant perks provided by our amazing Partners (details below)!

Be inspired and encouraged by current and former professional dancers, cheerleaders and Choreographers with experience in the NFL, NBA, and AFL who will share their personal stories, insights and top insights and guidance for auditioning and for what to do when you make a team. 

Your 3 Pros, Ang Bua, Vanessa Fattizzo, and Deja Rowley will be your Hosts & Instructors throughout the day. They will be leading you in 3 dance sessions and giving you their top audition tips from their combined 15 years of professional dancing, as well as giving you feedback throughout the day. After the dance sessions you will have a mock audition experience in which you will perform the choreography and receive personalized feedback.

Your mock audition will be “judged” by your 3 Pros and 2 special guests, including current NFL Choreographer Stephanie Demby and Nutrition Coach for Dancers/Former NFL dancer Ally Miller, who will give you the rare gift of individual feedback after your performance of the jazz and hip hop routines you learn during the day. Each Pro & Special Guest has a unique pro dance experience and will give you their top audition insights as well as answer questions during a Q&A.

You will end the day with a virtual First Round Audition Strategy Seminar with Nicolette Peloquin of The Prep Talk so you are well-prepared for the very first step of the audition process (the virtual submission), the paperwork components, and beyond. This seminar is being custom-created specifically for Powerhouse Pro Prep Workshop participants!

And bonus this year, lunch is included! Our Partner, Prepped by Carly, will be catering grab-and-go options like sandwiches, wraps and salads. We still encourage you to bring snacks and plenty of water.

Throughout the Workshop, you will work on and learn:

• Jazz, pom and hip hop choreography,

• Tips to improve your showmanship to help you stand out at auditions,

• Cleaning your movements to increase precision, power and impact,

• Do’s and don’ts of auditioning,

• Techniques for building and maintaining confidence, focus and a healthy mindset during the audition process,

• Mock audition experience to help you gain comfort and confidence in a simulated audition setting, and

• How to be proactively prepared for the first round of auditions and beyond.

• Date & Time: Saturday 2/21/26, 10am to 5:30pm.

• Registration fees: Early Registration until 12/24/25: $205. Regular Registration from 12/25/25 to 2/21/26: $235.

• You will receive more information regarding the Workshop, including a detailed agenda, what to wear and what to bring the week prior to the Workshop.

• Attire: Participants are encouraged to wear what they would wear to a dance team audition for the dance sessions. Feel free to wear warm-ups for the welcome and discussion sessions.

• NOTE: This workshop is not associated with a specific team or organization, nor is it meant to provide you with inside information on specific teams.  Although the Pros and Special Guests will be drawing on their unique professional experience, the guidance will be for purposes of preparing you for any dance team audition. 

• Cancellation/refund policy: In order to receive a refund for a cancelled registration, you must cancel your reservation via email to Jenny.Detore@powerhousedancesj.com by 2/7/26. Cancellations made after 2/7/26 will not be refunded or credited for another workshop/classes. This policy takes precedent over our cancellation policy for regular classes and master classes. If you cancel your reservation, you will not be entitled to receive the Participant Perks. Additionally, the Perks are reserved only for dancers who attend the workshop. If you register and have a late cancellation and do not attend, you will not be entitled to the Perks.
