Alanna Campbell

Alanna is the founding instructor of our Theater Dance classes at Powerhouse.  She is a NJ native, dancing since age 3.

Alanna received her Bachelor’s in Dance from Drexel University with concentrations in dance performance and Physical Therapy, as well as a Minor in Somatics.

Alanna is also a member of Philadelphia’s only all female jazz dance company, Project Moshen.

At Drexel, Alanna was a member of FreshDance and the Drexel Dance Ensemble, where she had the opportunity to choreograph for both companies and perform in works by professional choreographers in Philadelphia. She also performed and had her choreography adjudicated at the American College Dance Association conferences.

While in college, Alanna had the privilege of being an apprentice with Phildadanco II and study performance and choreographic process abroad at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, UK.

Post graduation, Alanna moved to New York City to pursue a professional career in musical theater dance, training under choreographers such as Jim Cooney, Lane Napper, Joshua Bergasse, and Jason Wise. She continued her training at Broadway Dance Center’s Summer Session (Pro Sem). Her favorite performance so far is performing on the Intrepid in “Celebrating Jerome Robbins,” choreographed by Tony Nominated choreographer, Joshua Bergasse.

Alanna also teaches Pilates and she is represented by LDC Artist Representation.
