Maggie Fitchett
Maggie began her dance career at the age of 3 at Wendy’s Dance Center in Fairless Hills, PA. She performed and competed there for 15 years in many different styles, but tap grew to be her favorite.
Maggie also spent 6 years working as a dancer at Sesame Place, during which she was selected to perform in the 6ABC Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Maggie attended Penn State University, where she was a member of Tapestry Dance Company, the university’s only tap-centered dance team. She performed with the team for four years and continued to develop and refine her tap skills.
Notable experiences include taking part in a tap master class with Michelle Dorrance and participating in Penn State’s 46-hour Dance Marathon.
Maggie went on to complete her Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Syracuse University, but she really missed dancing during that time.
She was lucky enough to be introduced to Powerhouse Dance in April 2021 which brought dance back into her life again! Maggie teaches tap and other styles at Stepping Stone Dance Studio in Bristol, PA. She is so excited to tap with you at Powerhouse!

Intermediate Tap
-
Maggie's goal in her classes is for dancers to leave feeling ENERGIZED! She moderately paces her classes, providing intermediate level choreography that includes both familiar tap steps as well as a few "challenge" steps for those who want an extra push. She is always willing to give modifications and she loves when dancers ask questions in class! That helps her to know what they need and want, allowing her to provide dancers exactly what they need. Dancers appreciate Maggie for her laid back yet supportive and fun energy!

“I love going to Maggie's classes because they're always so much fun! Maggie is positive and will answer any questions!”
“I enjoy Maggie’s classes because the atmosphere is light - there’s always space to make mistakes and keep trying without judgement. I enjoy her take on music as well and introducing more modern music into the tap space. “
