Matt Grassa

Matt Grassa is local to Delaware County, PA, and began his dance education at the early age of three. He trained in all styles of dance at a competitive level for ten consecutive years and continues to hone his craft and style. Matt specializes in Hip-Hop, but also loves and is skilled in Tap, Contemporary, Musical Theater, Ballet, Lyrical, and more.

During his many years of competing and performing in every genre, he developed a true passion for being on stage. This love for the stage evolved beyond dance and eventually included singing, acting, and live theater. Post-graduation Matt began his professional career debuting as the lead dancer (The Pumpkin King) in The Hallo-Fun Fright Show at Knoebels Amusement Park. Additionally, he has been a Guest Artist numerous times in Chester Valley Dance Academy’s rendition of The Nutcracker. Most recently he performed alongside 80’s Pop-Icon Taylor Dayne in New York, Atlantic City, and Florida as a backup dancer. Matt can also be seen all over the Tri-State Area performing in Flash Mobs and other Special Events for multiple entertainment companies.

He has versatile choreography skills and credits, notably Beat Addikts United and The Garnet Valley Performing Arts Association in a multitude of shows. He is currently employed as the primary Hip-Hop and Tap Instructor, as well as Competition Team Co-Director at Dance Delaware Studios in Wilmington, DE. He is also the primary Hip-Hop Instructor at Dance Artistry Center in Swedesboro, NJ and often guest teaches at Powerhouse Dance in Cherry Hill, NJ.

When he is not performing, teaching, or choreographing, Matt is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity at Wilmington University.
